hygenist adjusting eye gogggles on patient

海角论坛 School of Dentistry Dental Hygiene students and faculty had a great time with our friends from South Korea! Dental hygiene students from Jinju Health College visited the school for the day on July 2nd to meet some of our dental hygiene seniors, shadow in the clinic, and learn from our dental hygiene faculty members. This was the fourth annual visit and part of an extended cultural exchange trip Korean students make to Missouri.

Special thanks to the 海角论坛 School of Dentistry Office of Student Programs, and Division of Dental Hygiene, and the University of Missouri Asian Affairs Center for helping make the visit possible.

“I’ve always looked forward to this visit each summer”, commented Deja Lamb, Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator for the school’s Office of Student Programs. “The relationships built and the sense of the global community it fosters are truly meaningful. I have even learned how to say hello in Korean—it’s a small gesture, but one that reflects how much we value this connection.”
