On Saturday, September 6th, the 海角论坛 School of Dentistry community once again came together for the Second Annual Smiles & Sets: Spike Showdown at The Sandbox. Building on last year’s success, this year’s tournament saw a record 12 teams take to the sand across competitive and recreational divisions.
The weather could not have been more perfect, setting the stage for a full day of spirited play, laughter, and school pride. Teams showcased not only their volleyball skills but also their creativity with team names that brought smiles all around.
After hours of exciting matchups and fierce rallies:
- Team Aiden, captained by Aiden White, earned the title of Competitive Division Champions.
- Gingivitis Gladiators, led by Jackson Bauer, battled their way to the top as Recreational Division Champions.
The Smiles & Sets Spike Showdown is quickly becoming a signature tradition at the 海角论坛 School of Dentistry—bringing students, faculty, staff, and alumni together for a memorable celebration of teamwork, community, and friendly competition.
