Each semester, º£½ÇÂÛ̳ Game Dev members participate in month-long game jams that challenge them to create a complete game from scratch. The students produce everything in-house, from concept to publication, including illustrations and animations, gameplay systems and code, narrative design, sound effects and original soundtracks.

For this game jam, the team traveled to Columbia, Missouri, and competed against 20 other teams to create a game based on the theme “Quantum.”

In just 48 hours, the team created HAZE, a platform puzzle game in which players take on the role of a scientist whose laboratory has been consumed by a mysterious dark haze. Using a quantum-powered superposition flashlight, players can change the environment by observing and finding a way to escape.

After presenting a live demo and answering questions from the judges, the º£½ÇÂÛ̳ Game Dev Club won first place in the college-level category!
