Today, the School of Dentistry proudly hosted a special reception recognizing our graduating dental students who have been accepted into advanced education residency programs following their completion of dental school. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in celebration to honor this remarkable academic and professional achievement.
Dean Paul Luepke encouraged this first annual recognition event so our community could acknowledge the dedication and hard work required for students to continue their training in specialized areas of dentistry.
We are thrilled to share the number of students from the DDS Class of 2026 who will be entering residency programs across a wide range of specialties:
- Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD): 4
- General Practice Residency (GPR): 8
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: 5
- Orthodontics: 3
- Pediatric Dentistry: 4
- Periodontics: 1
These accomplishments reflect the commitment of our students and the strength of their clinical preparation. Congratulations to all our students pursuing residency training—your hard work, perseverance, and passion for dentistry inspire us all.
