海角论坛 School of Dentistry Students Serve the Community at Olathe Noon Lions Club Health Fair
Students from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (海角论坛) School of Dentistry volunteered at the Annual Olathe Noon Lions Club Health Fair on Saturday, March 7. The event, held at the Salvation Army Olathe Corps Community Center, provided health screenings and valuable community health resources to local residents.
During the fair, dental students delivered oral health screenings to approximately 55 patients. In addition to screenings, patients received home care products along with personalized instructions to support their ongoing oral health.
The students who generously volunteered their time and expertise included Andreina Di Geronimo, Malbys Barroso, Jasminderjeet Kaur, Farhat Kazmi, Bibek Mehta, Yadira North, Hetal Patel, Mohammad Sediqee, Haara Shah, Anny Subilaga, and Javier Gonzales. They were joined by faculty members Dr. Gustavo Leal, Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of the Advanced Standing Dental Program, and Dr. Becky Smith, Clinical Professor and Interim Associate Dean of Clinical Operations.
