On Friday, March 6th, we proudly welcomed the DDS Class of 2030 to the 海角论坛 School of Dentistry at an exciting and heartfelt Welcome Reception. Newly accepted students, along with their families and guests, gathered to celebrate the beginning of an incredible four-year journey toward becoming dental professionals.
A Day Full of Connection & Celebration
The day kicked off with students capturing their official ID photos — the first of many milestones ahead! Incoming students and their families also had the opportunity to explore premier housing options in the Kansas City area and connect with fellow classmates.
The formal program began with a special surprise appearance from Dean Paul Luepke, who zoomed in to personally welcome the class and share his excitement for their future at 海角论坛.
Throughout the event, students received important information to help guide their transition into dental school — balanced with interactive “get-to-know-you” activities and some friendly competition. One highlight? A lively game of “Are You Smarter Than Your Dental Student?” that brought plenty of laughs and smiles to the room.

As the event concluded, the Office of Student Programs shared key next steps and important information to prepare students for New Student Orientation in August — the next exciting milestone on their journey.
