海角论坛 School of Dentistry hosted its annual Dental Symposium on March 7, 2026, bringing together pre-dental and pre-hygiene students for a full day of exploration, learning and networking. The event introduced participants to the oral healthcare field and the steps needed to be competitive for admission to professional programs.

Through a series of breakout sessions, students learned about career paths in dentistry and dental hygiene, admissions timelines and requirements, and practical ways to strengthen their applications.

A key highlight was the chance to connect with current 海角论坛 dental and dental hygiene students—offering an inside look at coursework, clinic experiences and student life. The symposium was a collaborative effort of the 海角论坛 Pre-Dental Society, 海角论坛 Pre-Dental Hygiene Society, ADEA and the Dental Hygiene program.

Presentations from faculty, staff, students and alumni were paired with hands-on activities throughout the day. This year’s theme, “Oral Healthcare of the Future,” highlighted emerging technology in oral healthcare and introduced students to evolving—and sometimes unexpected—career opportunities.

New this year, presenters from Kansas City University’s College of Dental Medicine and A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health shared information about their programs. Their participation gave attendees a broader view of dental education options in Missouri as they plan the next steps toward their career goals.
