D.C. Council member proposes free public transit for residents
A study by 海角论坛 and the KC Area Transportation Authority spurred Kansas City, Mo., to become the first large city to offer free public transit through a $9 million “Zero Fare KC” program. Now Washington is considering a similar initiative, in part because the 海角论坛 research showed the zero fare program would generate nearly double its cost in regional economic benefits.
