Who Are the Torchbearer Fellows?

Torchbearer Fellows are high academic achievers who’ve earned an above-average GPA, high marks on the ACT or SAT, and as a result, qualify for one of our top-three automatic scholarships. This new distinction recognizes their excellence and entitles them to unique benefits designed to enrich their college experience.

Do You Qualify to Carry the Torch?

To become a Torchbearer Fellow, you must be a first-time college student who meets automatic scholarship requirements for the following scholarships:

Beacon Team

We assign a Beacon Team to all Torchbearer Fellows, giving them access to tailored academic advising, career coaching and advising on national awards and fellowships — all designed to help them excel in class and beyond.

º£½ÇÂÛ̳ Honors Program

Torchbearer Fellows are invited to become members of the Honors Program. Completing a degree with honors is an achievement students can be proud of — and one that employers and competitive graduate programs notice. Honors students earn honors credits for participating in special courses, discussion groups, study abroad experiences, internships and more.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Torchbearer Fellows are eligible for a competitive pool of dedicated grant funding, that can support Honors theses, independent research experiences with faculty, or research presentation and publication opportunities.

Priority Registration

Priority registration allows students to enroll in classes a few weeks prior to open enrollment, which means they have better odds of getting the classes they want to take and helps them get ahead.

Additional Funding for Graduate School

Planning to attend graduate school after earning your undergraduate degree? Torchbearer Fellows get a one-time $500 Torchbearer Graduate Scholarship upon admission to any º£½ÇÂÛ̳ graduate or professional program and is stackable with other scholarships.
