Online and hybrid courses at º£½ÇÂÛ̳ should complete the Quality Course Review (QCR) process before being offered to students. Courses that have previously undergone QCR are reviewed every five years to ensure continued alignment with quality standards. The QCR process supports student-centered learning, strong alignment between objectives and assessments, and compliance with national expectations for accessibility and course design.

Module-level objectives or outcomes
A complete syllabus

You may review the QCR Rubric, Instructor Guide, or sample certified courses to help you prepare. CAFE’s instructional design team is available to assist you in preparing your course for review.
After submitting your QCR Intake Form, you’ll receive a confirmation of receipt. If your course is ready for review, a faculty peer reviewer will be assigned. You may also be contacted by an instructional designer for initial preparation or consultation.
The QCR follows a five-year review cycle to support course improvement and meet institutional expectations for online quality.
Courses are reviewed by trained º£½ÇÂÛ̳ faculty members who are not affiliated with the course.
Reviews focus on º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s 5 Pillars of Quality Course Design: alignment, engagement, accessibility, assessment, and technology use.
º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s Faculty Peer Reviewer Corps consists of experienced online instructors who have completed CAFE’s QCR training. Reviewers evaluate courses based on quality design standards, provide formative feedback to colleagues, and help maintain º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s instructional quality.
Peer reviewers receive $100 per student credit hour for each course they review. This compensation is separate from teaching load and may not be counted toward service obligations.
Submit your course using the Quality Course Review Intake Form. This helps CAFE track review cycles, assign appropriate reviewers, and ensure your couse gets the support it needs.
