Supporting Accessible and Inclusive Learning (SAIL)

Accessibility is more than compliance—it’s a habit of mind and a design commitment to all learners. º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s SAIL program helps faculty develop the knowledge and skills to make course content accessible, inclusive, and aligned with updated ADA Title II regulations taking effect in 2026.

Whether you’re designing new materials or refining what you’ve already built, SAIL meets you where you are. Choose from online or in-person options, discipline-specific offerings, or go deeper with our sprint modules in inclusive design.

Available in Canvas July 2025 | Takes approximately 3 hours

Get ready to design with everyone in mind. This self-paced, hands-on course is your go-to guide for making course content that meets digital accessibility standards—while staying true to your teaching style. Whether you’re updating a syllabus, revising slides, or building content in Canvas, SAIL Foundations equips you with tools you can use right away.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to make your course materials more accessible to all students, align your teaching with federal ADA Title II requirements, and meet evolving instructional expectations at º£½ÇÂÛ̳.

Join us in person for a guided, hands-on version of the SAIL Foundations course. You’ll work directly with your own course materials—syllabi, slides, Canvas pages—and leave with measurable progress toward meeting accessibility goals.

Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TiLT)
TiLT helps students succeed by making learning processes more visible and predictable. This module introduces the TiLT framework, demonstrates how to revise assignments for clarity and purpose, and guides you in creating more transparent course documents.

Key topics include:
