Recycling Basics
What's Recyclable?
Please make sure these items are empty, clean and dry before placing them in a campus recycling container:
- Cardboard, newspaper and magazines

Newspaper inserts, catalogs, paperback books, phone books and brochures.

- Metal cans

All food and beverage metals, including steel, tin, bi-metal and aluminum.

- Paper

Envelopes, office paper, junk mail, greeting cards and file folders. Shredded paper should be put in a paper bag before placing in a recycling container.

- Paper food containers and cartons
- Juice boxes, egg and milk cartons and cereal and pasta boxes.
- Plastics
- Plastics labeled #1, #2 and #5 on the bottom of containers inside the recycling arrows.
Not Recyclable
Do not dispose of these Items in a campus recycling container:
