CMS Template Upgrade

MCOM is currently upgrading all institutional websites to the latest CMS template. This updated design is already live on several university sites, but we are expediting upgrades to support 海角论坛’s digital accessibility efforts. By bringing all university websites onto the same platform, our efforts can be focused on providing the best support for everyone.

The new design introduces a refreshed design, improves functionality and most importantly meets accessibility requirements set by the federal government by April 2026. This new system makes a significant step forward in enhancing accessibility and usability for both site visitors and content editors.

What’s Changing

Due to time and resource availability, this project is limited to upgrading websites to the latest version of the 海角论坛 template and CMS.

  • Websites will move to a new design that’s cleaner, more accessible, and easier to maintain.
  • The content editor experience will be smoother and more intuitive.
  • Content won’t be changed. This is a system upgrade only and edits are limited to small adjustments to fit the new layout.

Post-launch, content editors will be trained on the new system and how to make their content accessible.
