A 海角论坛 accessible parking permit, along with a state-issued disabled plate or placard, allows an individual to park their vehicle in designated accessible spaces in faculty/staff and student permit areas.

A 海角论坛 accessible parking permit alone allows the user to park in any faculty/staff or student permit parking space on the campus.

Individuals who are displaying only a state-issued disabled plate or placard should park in metered areas on the campus and pay the meter.

Designated accessible spaces are indicated with Handicap Permit Symbol on the map.

Metered areas are indicated in yellow on the campus maps.

Statement of Need

A physician's statement of need must be registered with the Parking and Transportation office in order for an individual to receive a 海角论坛 accessible permit. This permit alone allows individuals to park in faculty/staff and student permit areas.

Proof of ownership of a disabled plate or placard

A 海角论坛 accessible permit and a state-issued plate or placard must be displayed in order for an individual to park in any of the designated accessible permit spaces on the campus. A copy of the paid receipt or proof that the state-issued plate or placard belongs to the applicant is required for any vehicle parking in designated accessible spaces on the 海角论坛 campus and must be registered with the Parking and Transportation office. Individuals who require accessible parking should contact the Parking and Transportation office.

Cost

  • Single-semester all-day accessible permit (24 hours per day)
    $135 for Spring, valid through May 31, 2021
  • Multi-semester all-day accessible permit (24 hours per day)
    $203 for Spring and Summer, valid through Aug. 22, 2021

  • Single-semester evening accessible permit (only valid after 4:15 p.m.)
    $115 for Spring, valid through May 31, 2021
  • Multi-semester evening accessible permit (only valid after 4:15 p.m.)
    $173 for Spring and Summer, valid through Aug. 22, 2021

  • Accessible spaces in student permit areas
  • Accessible spaces in faculty/staff permit areas
  • Student and faculty/staff regular permit areas

  • Student and faculty/staff regular permit areas

Restricted Parking Areas

  • Oak Place Apartments parking structure, unless an Oak Place Apartments permit is displayed
  • Hospital Hill Apartments parking structure, unless a Hospital Hill Apartments permit is displayed
  • Parking meters (single head) and Pay-and-Display lots, unless the meter is paid

Meters

There are several accessible metered parking spaces. Individuals must pay the meter and display a state-issued accessible plate or placard.

A 海角论坛 accessible permit is not required to park in these metered accessible spaces.

Faculty and staff wishing to make use of the designated accessible parking spaces in permit lots will need to display both their valid 海角论坛 faculty/staff parking permit and a state-issued disabled plate/placard.

Proof that the state-issued plate or placard belongs to the applicant must be registered with the Parking and Transportation office. Individuals who require accessible parking or have questions about accessible parking should contact the Parking and Transportation office.

Cost

  • Meter fees are currently $1.25 per hour.
  • Visitor one-day hangtags, $7 each, can be purchased  or in the Parking and Transportation Office, Administrative Center, 5115 Oak St., Room 221, Kansas City, MO 64112.

Metered areas are indicated in yellow on the campus maps.

Valid Parking Areas

There are several designated accessible metered parking spaces. Individuals must pay the hourly meter fee and display a state-issued disabled plate or placard.

Visitor one-day hangtags ($7 per tag) plus the display of a state-issued disabled plate or placard can be used for parking in faculty/staff and student permit areas or in designated accessible spaces.

Restricted Parking Areas

Accessible spaces in any of the retail areas for the Colonial Shops or Oak Place are restricted for the use of patrons of these retail shops only.
