Most faculty and staff members purchase a 海角论坛 parking permit while employed with the university, although an employee may choose to park and pay at the meters.
The monthly fee for employee parking is determined by their annual base salary as of June 1 each year and where their salary falls within the five-tier scale below. Once the monthly rate is fixed, it will not be adjusted if there is a change in pay that occurs throughout the year. Any changes to payroll deductions for parking occur the first of June every year. The rate for new employees, or employees who start their deduction throughout the year, is based on their pay at the time they apply for a permit. The employee may choose to have the monthly fee paid by payroll deduction or by pre-paying for their permit. Payroll deduction is not offered to those who have an appointment of less than a semester in duration.
