Creating a New Student Organization
海角论坛 students in good standing at the institution can join/participate in and/or create student organizations.
New student organization registration (meaning the group has not formed yet) will begin August 3 and close September 30.
To begin the process of creating a new student organization at 海角论坛, you must first complete the Interest Group Form on RooGroups.
New student organizations must include the following in the interest group form:
- Create a constitution that meets the minimum requirements for student organization constitutions.
- Secure commitment from students in good standing to serve in all required officer positions: President, Vice President, and Treasurer.
- Recruit at least seven (7) additional members, for a minimum total membership of ten (10) students.
- Develop an official organization name that meets university naming guidelines.
Submit the Interest Group Form on RooGroups and meet with the Coordinator for Leadership and Organization Development prior to applying for recognition.
Complete required student organization officer training.
Attend Student Organization Officer training.
