Staff Success Series

We are excited to announce the launch of the Staff Success Series, a new professional development opportunity. This series is an extension of Staff Development Week and features a curated set of recorded sessions in partnership with Optum. These sessions, some of which were among the most popular during Staff Development Week, come with companion workbooks to help you apply what you learn. Percipio

Percipio is an online tool that helps us support our ongoing commitment to the continuing development of faculty and staff. Users can choose to follow learning paths curated based on role or the skills they'd like to develop. They can also select from over 700 learning channels, each based on a skill employees and organizations regularly identify as valuable.

Percipio offers training and resources in many areas including:

Leadership Development

In order to attract, develop and retain top talent, our institution implements structured methods to educate, advance and empower leaders through programs and trainings. Summary information: 

Supervisor Development Series (SDS)

This Supervisor Development Series hosted by UM System is designed for newly hired or promoted supervisors who manage staff. By participating in this program, supervisors and managers will be equipped with the fundamental skills necessary to be an effective manager of talent.

Series on Leadership Essentials (SOLE)

The Series on Leadership Essentials is dedicated to helping you lead in your role, and is facilitated by the University of Missouri System Human Resources Learning and Organizational Development team. This program focuses on developing leaders in the areas of communication, engagement, giving and receiving feedback, and navigating change. Employees who participate in SOLE include employees from throughout the University of Missouri System, from St. Louis, Kansas City, Rolla, Columbia, and the rest of the State of Missouri.

Organizational Perspectives and Leadership (OPAL)

Mid-level leaders help create engaging workplace cultures where day-to-day operations and the strategic orientation of the University and divisions come to life. This professional development program creates a community of practice where open dialogue and skill-building strengthen the universities abilities to meet its goals. 

Administrative Leadership Development Program (ALDP)

The University of Missouri System Administrative Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is a prestigious program that provides professional development opportunities and ongoing support to administrative leaders on all campuses system wide. ALDP enhances effective leadership with a focus on building the foundation for a robust learning environment.

Team Development

Assessments are tools designed to help individuals understand their strengths, behaviors, and communication styles. By providing insights into personal and team dynamics, assessments can enhance collaboration, improve conflict resolution, and boost overall team performance. Implementing these tools in professional development initiatives can lead to more effective and cohesive teams, ultimately driving organizational success.
