Staff Council Committees
Staff Council has several committees that support its goals. Each has its own meeting schedule and initiatives. You don鈥檛 need to be a voting member to participate.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee supports all other Staff Council committees/task forces by distributing information to 海角论坛 staff members, primarily through the Staff Council newsletter and website. The committee also leads marketing strategies and supplies branded Staff Council materials to 海角论坛 staff.

Endowment and Scholarship Committee
The Endowment and Scholarship Committee manages the 海角论坛 Staff Council endowment. The committee collaborates with the Staff Council President to meet annually with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and the 海角论坛 Foundation to review and update endowment details as needed. Additionally, the committee oversees the Staff Council scholarship process, awarding scholarships each semester. The committee consists of four Staff Council voting members, plus the Treasurer, for a total of five members. The committee also follows the requirements and selection criteria outlined in the 海角论坛 Staff Council Scholarship endowment documents.

Engagement Committee
The Engagement Committee oversees the recognition of 海角论坛 staff, striving to help foster an inclusive, supportive workplace through its events and programs. This committee creates programs to honor staff achievements and organizes large-scale activities that enhance the morale and appreciation of 海角论坛 staff.

Membership Committee
This Membership Committee oversees the recruitment, selection, training, retention, and recognition of Staff Council voting members. This committee supports the Membership Chair in facilitating the Staff Council voting member elections process. The committee also organizes Staff Council representation at university-wide events and educates 海角论坛 staff about the purpose of Staff Council and its available resources.

Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee develops and implements 海角论坛 staff participation in community service projects both on campus and within the community. The committee also partners with 海角论坛 departments/ divisions and constituents to promote community service events. This committee strives to create positive engagement between 海角论坛 and the broader community through service and collaboration.

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee hosts opportunities for staff to strengthen their skills, expand their knowledge, and develop both personal and professional excellence. This committee works closely with 海角论坛 Human Resources and other 海角论坛 departments/divisions and constituents to promote career development, professional training, continued education, and staff well-being initiatives.

Intercampus Staff Advisory Council (ISAC)
The UM Intercampus Staff Advisory Council (UM-ISAC) was formed by the University of Missouri System President in January 2000 to advise the president on matters of mutual interest and to serve as an information and liaison medium for employees and administrative offices on such matters as may be referred to the Council, as the Council initiates, or as UM employees may request. Representatives include:

Parking and Traffic Committee
The Parking and Traffic Committee consists of 3 faculty members nominated by the Faculty Senate, 3 staff members nominated by the Staff Council, and 3 students nominated by the Student Government Association or the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Representatives include:

Partners in Prevention (PIP) Coalition
The 海角论坛 Partners in Prevention (PIP) coalition is a group that works to improve the health and wellness of 海角论坛 students. The coalition focuses on preventing high-risk behaviors such as underage and high-risk drinking, sexual and relationship violence, and problem gambling. The coalition also aims to promote positive mental health and safe behaviors related to dating, driving, and other areas. Representatives include:

Total Rewards Advisory Committee (TRAC)
The Total Rewards Advisory Committee (TRAC) serves in an advisory capacity in matters related to benefits programs and in the treatment of pay and benefits as interrelated parts of the UM System’s overall Total Rewards. Committee membership is comprised of at least 12 members, consisting of a faculty and a staff member from each campus, a hospital representative, and a retiree representative, as appointed by the Vice President of Human Resources from nominations by the campuses, retiree associations, and self-nominations.
