Engagement and Recognition Initiatives

About

Engagement and recognition programs celebrate 海角论坛 staff achievements and help foster an inclusive, supportive workplace. These initiatives honor accomplishments, boost morale and build appreciation across the 海角论坛 community.

The Staff Council Engagement Committee regularly hosts events that create space for connection and community. Recent and recurring favorites include:

  • Roo Recognition: A virtual greeting card program that allows 海角论坛 staff to recognize members of the 海角论坛 community with a personalized message.  Learn more on the Roo Recognition website. 
  • Crafty Critters: Staff-led arts and crafts sessions featuring guided demonstrations and provided materials. Past projects included beaded keychains and coasters.
  • Festive wear contests: Photo-based contests held during Halloween and winter holidays, with selected participants receiving prizes and recognition.
  • Tabletop role-playing game events: Introductory and casual play sessions for tabletop role-playing games, including Dungeons & Dragons.
  • Haunted campus tour: A seasonal ghost tour of campus led by 海角论坛 historian Chris Wolff.
  • Dessert and food trucks: Occasional pop-up treats for staff to enjoy.
