Finding a Program That is Right For You

There are many factors that you should consider when choosing a study abroad program. Here are some of the most important factors to keep in mind.

  • How long do you want to study abroad?
  • When do you want to study abroad?
  • Where do you want to go?
  • What kind of classes do you want to take?
  • Are you interested in an internship? Would you want to participate in a service-learning program? Or do you want to conduct research abroad?

Putting together a list of programs and locations you are interested in can be very helpful. Your intended career path is also a good place to start when determining where you want to study abroad. Universities around the world specialize in different things. So make sure you choose a school or program right for you!

Below are some descriptions of the types of programs we offer to students:

 

Faculty-Led Programs

These programs are led by members of 海角论坛 staff. These programs range from just a week long to six weeks. For students who might be a little apprehensive about going abroad, a faculty-led program would be a great place to start. Faculty-led programs are 海角论坛 tuition-based, enabling certain types of scholarships to be used to pay for fees and other costs associated with them.

 

Provider-Led Programs

We have partnered up with organizations like ISA, TEAN, CEA and IFSA to bring students a plethora of options to choose from. These programs have summer, spring, fall, and yearlong options to choose from. Internships are also offered for students looking for work experience abroad!

Exchange Programs

This is the most traditional study abroad experience. Spend a semester or a full academic year in the country of your choice! These programs are available through our international partners. Along with applying for an exchange program at 海角论坛, most programs require you to fill out an application for the host institution as well.

Credit Transfer Information

Students can earn credit towards their degree while abroad. Before you leave, you should make sure you have your foreign course equivalency document filled out. This enables us at SAGE to determine which classes you took are equivalent to the courses at 海角论坛. Students should inform their host institution of our preferred method of obtaining academic transcripts from them. Below is the name and address to write on the envelope:
