A service animal is an animal, typically a dog, that has been trained to assist a person with an accessibility need. When registered through , service animals are allowed anywhere on campus where you have access.
These are the only questions about your service animal you are required to answer:
- Is the animal a service animal required due to a disability?
- What task has the animal been trained to perform?

Emotional Support Animals
An emotional support animal is an animal that provides comfort to alleviate one or more identified symptoms or effects of a person’s disability. At 海角论坛, emotional support animals are only allowed in your residence hall. They are not allowed in classrooms, campus buildings or other public areas.
To have an emotional support animal live with you in 海角论坛 housing, you must submit a letter from your doctor or mental health provider. The letter must:
- Confirm that you have a disability
- Explain how the emotional support animal helps with your condition
- Validate that your provider has seen how you and your emotional support animal interact
