Understanding Your Costs

The cost estimates on your immigration documents are minimum projections. Actual costs vary.

Tuition amounts reflect full-time enrollment for fall and spring semesters only:

  • Undergraduate students: 12 credit hours per semester
  • Graduate students: 9 credit hours per semester

If you enroll in more courses, your total tuition costs will be higher.

Do not expect or depend on financial aid or part-time employment to meet your educational expenses. On-campus employment is competitive and not guaranteed.

Payment of Fees

All fees are due and payable to the university according to the published fee schedule. The university does not require payment in full at enrollment. Students are required to make monthly payments toward their outstanding balance over the course of the semester.

If you are unable to pay in full by the first due date of the semester, you may arrange a payment plan with the Cashier's Office.

Sponsored students

If your tuition and mandatory fees will be paid by a government sponsoring agency or institution, submit your sponsor's financial guarantee letter to both the Cashier's Office and ISAO by the first payment deadline.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

University-funded financial aid is limited. Most aid available through the 海角论坛 Financial Aid and Scholarship Office is only eligible for U.S. citizens and permanent residents through federal financial support programs. However, some 海角论坛 competitive scholarships may be available to international students.

Academic scholarships

The most substantial financial support at 海角论坛 is available as an academic scholarship awarded at the time of admission.

Graduate assistantships

Graduate students may be eligible for assistantships, though international students are typically not considered until after completing a semester or a year of study at 海角论坛.

International students awarded graduate assistantships that include teaching responsibilities must satisfactorily complete an English language screening and training program before undertaking teaching assignments.
